Happy Intro Day!
This week's Reading lesson will be very chaotic because of the Thanksgiving break we get next week. I am going to need EVERYONE'S complete attention in class in order for us to make it through the daily lessons.
Here's what we did today...
Reading: I showed you our new vocabulary words for this week, we discussed this week's theme, which is Energy, and we completed a couple of workbook pages. If you were absent, you need to make sure that you make up these assignments (look in the While You Were Out center).
Language: I introduced our grammar skill for this week: main and helping verbs, we sang the Helping Verb jingle (everyone will be responsible for knowing the jingle by heart next Tuesday in order to sing it to the class), and we learned what our new spelling words are.
Social Studies: We continued reading chapter 6: lesson 1. Today we learned about the Spanish-American War.
