Unit 1 Week 5 Day 5 = Test Day!

Hey Hey! :o)

Today was our weekly test for Unit 1 Week 5. I have been grading the tests, and I must say, I'm a little disappointed that after all of our practice with independent clauses and run-on sentences that the grades aren't a little higher. Please remember that no matter how much we practice together at school, you will never be able to get a firm grasp on any concept that we are studying until you go home and practice that skill on your own!

Here's what we did today:

Reading & Language: Unit 1 Week 5 Day 5 - Test Day. We took a spelling test, a vocab test, and our reading test.

Social Studies: We re-read Chapter 4: Lesson 1 which focused on different types of inventions and the inventors who created the amazing products that we STILL use today. For example, the telephone - created by Alexander Graham Bell; the lightbulb - created by Thomas Edison and improved by Lewis Latimere; and the airplane - created by Wilbur and Orville Wright.

We will continue our journey through Chapter 4 tomorrow!
